CPJL: Welcome to the Neighborhood

Howdy!

We've been negligent lately.

So, uh, we forgot to mention... it looks like we have company.

Are these the grrrls for whom we are repeatedly mistaken by CPMC and otherrrs?

We're a welcoming bunch, and we invite the CPGC and any other local lurkers/Melissa Etheridge fans to Come to our (Internets) Window.

While you have the chance, we'd also suggest registerrring:

Cleveland Park Eskimo's Club
Cleveland Park Shifty-Eyed Gangsterrrs Club
Cleveland Park Chicks Who Like to Bath(e) League
Cleveland Park Grrrover Cleveland League

These blogger things, they go quickly.

Seriously, though - one of these days a C.P. happy hour is in orderrr.

We have them all the time. YOU are the only ones who don't show up.

Very true. Perhaps we should rephrase: A happy hour at which the CPJL decides to show up may be in order.

"We've been negligent lately."

Yes, you have! Not severe enough to warrant a stay in the tower or an iron maiden for that matter... how about a pledge of loyalty and a promise to attend the Hater's Happy Hour?

Not exactly what I was thinking, Cat. The CPMC already has top billing as DC cewebrities for tonight's event, and I shy away from such competition. Or maybe we're just jealous. Either way, not my scene- I don't do body glitter; and I'm a lover, not a hater. Maybe the other ladies of the CPJL are interested, though.

Have fun tonight.

After last night's arm-wrestling match at Local 16, locking myself out of my apartment, and traveling to and fro from Washington to procure clothes for work and an extra set of keys . . . I'm worn out.

And it's not even Friday today. Just not fair.

Alas it does not seem that any of the members of CPJL will be able to make it to the happy hour tonight. Yes, I’m heading out again tonight, but out with non-bloggers this evening. It’s gonna be a blog free night!!

Liar.

It is never a blog-free night for you at the CPJL.

Just show up. You can be anonymous and shy like you were at the Chief Ike's DCist party.

Please?

Seriously, the "please" warms the cockles of my heart, but I'm still out.

I will even introduce myself, should there be a low-key, jeans and tees, hater free night in the future. No mixed-drinks or suits allowed.

Careful Governess, no one denies the Senator. You could very well be honored at the next CPMC steak dinner in the form of a kidney pie! ;)

You're right, i'm on thin ice.

If anyone is willing to come clean my house for me tonight, plus run 1000+ errands, then maybe I'll show.

Sweats are suitable at Topaz, right?

Alright, Governess, if you agree to show up on a "jeans and t-shirt" night, I will as well. Just remind me not to go out boozing the night before (ugh).

Maybe we can a do a low-key, outdoor thing at Yanni's sometime soon. Try and wear pants sans the "sweat."

These ladies are a distant second to all of you. No Topaz tonight? Too bad!

Should not be an ouch. Just know that you will be missed.

I would prefer to cook up a liver pie with a good chianti.

Sorry for the delay in reply, but we at CPGC aren't as on top of the daily bloggin' as all of you guys. We would LOVE a Happy Hour get-together, although most of CPGC work nights, so timing may be tough. As we've been friends with CPMC years (well before they decided to give themselves a name), we have a lot of good stories to share!
